Install guide

Install Flux.

Flux is a local desktop UI upgrade for Stremio. It does not include streams, media, add-ons, debrid, or subscriptions.

Mac

  1. Download the ZIP after checkout.
  2. Unzip it.
  3. Put license.flux.json in the same folder as the installer.
  4. Open Install Flux for Stremio.command.
  5. Follow the prompts, then reopen Stremio.

If macOS blocks the file, right-click it, choose Open, then confirm you want to open it.

Windows

  1. Download the ZIP after checkout.
  2. Extract the ZIP.
  3. Put license.flux.json in the extracted folder.
  4. Right-click install.ps1 and run it with PowerShell.
  5. Follow the prompts, then reopen Stremio.

If Windows warns you, only continue if the file came from your checkout download.

Restore

Flux keeps a backup before patching. If anything looks wrong, use the included uninstall/restore script.

  • Mac: open Uninstall Flux for Stremio.command.
  • Windows: run uninstall.ps1 in PowerShell.
